 The Life Portfolio Company

New Directions is The Life Portfolio Company.   We help accomplished men and women in business and the professions find or create meaningful new opportunities within and beyond their careers.

We focus on what’s next for every client, seeking opportunities tailored to their ability and need.

We help clients find or create new full-time corporate jobs, begin new careers or start ventures as entrepreneurs, consultants, corporate board directors and leaders of non-profit organizations. For those currently employed and facing critical career/life planning decisions, we move them from being at a cross-roads to reengaging, redeploying or transitioning to an opportunity better suited for them.  For those in more of a post-career mindset, we create “portfolios” of part-time, income-producing activities, board directorships, life-long learning, more family/leisure time, and humanitarian pursuits.

Guiding us is our Life Portfolio vision, developed over our 23 years of working with clients. It frames careers within larger work and life goals—the intangible as well as the measurable ones.

While careers often have a shelf life, Life Portfolios are an ageless mindset, a long-term, back-of-mind, ever-changing and adjusting view of life - not just work - goals.  They are knit into the very fabric of who we are.

Our process helps our clients clarify their short and long-term goals, design a plan around them and view the next job, career, endeavor or stage of life as the first next step in pursuing them.

As asset managers rebalance investment portfolios,

New Directions rebalances life portfolios to fit changing needs.
